John McLean is renowned in the Ducks circle for being the prize fox and outwitting his prey, and was in fine form when he claimed the first ham of the morning after he pushed Robert Rich in the final of the 25m freestyle.
Rob was very unlucky to break his time by a mere -0.37s and reluctantly relinquished the prize.
Greg Salmon was next to touch the wall, with Roger Mackay and Mark Scullard making up the final.
Mark Scullard and Judy Walsh also succumbed to the same fate as Richie when they became a little too eager to claim a ham in the final of the 2x25m breaststroke/breaststroke brace relay.
They broke by a heart breaking -0.15s and handed the win to shark David Sparkes and his partner Roger Mackay.
Ron Everett and Reg Ferguson were next in, followed by Glen Smith and Mark Bonser, and Peter Smith and Marg Ross.
Mark Scullard made amends in the final of the 50m freestyle when he swallowed up his competitors in a well-timed swim to collect his ham.
Mark Bonser came in second, David Sparkes third, Greg Salmon fourth and Margaret Ross in fifth place.
Lucky numbers went to Peter Smith and Rob Rich.
This Sunday the Ducks are hopping on the bus and taking the plunge in the Narromine swimming pool.
This is a family day with a barbecue lunch after the swim followed by a visit to the local markets.
