That's the feeling of Camp Quality representative Anne Bassett after she was on hand at the club on Tuesday to receive a cheque following the recent Graham Priest and Warren McLennan Memorial Day.
A total of $2940, $250 of that presented by the Dubbo RSL on Tuesday, was handed over to Camp Quality purely for children in the western region.
"We thoroughly appreciate all the money raised," Bassett raised.
"It's a smaller club here and they do fundraising on their tennis day and all the prizes from raffles are donated and it's such a large group who add to the fundraising and help Camp Quality and hopefully we can keep going."
This year marked 20 years of fundraising by Muller Park Tennis Club, with 15 of those for Camp Quality following five years of raising money for the oncology unit.
The way in which this money helps the most is it goes towards allowing unwell children and their families time away at various camps.
Camp Quality Western Region allows entire families to go on trips to certain camps in order to put smiles on faces during difficult times.
"It gets children to camps in a fun environment while still having their medication but it gives the families a break because it takes the children who are sick and the siblings too so it's something the family looks forward to," Bassett said.
"They go to various places, central west kids can be taken to the snow, the beach or Canberra to places like Questacon so the camps are in various locations.
"Some of the kids there have lost limbs because of cancer but they can still smile."
In terms of the on-court action now held at the club, next Saturday will see the start of night tennis from 6pm with anyone welcome to attend and take part.
