The night will begin with the Cricketer's Arms Journeymen (RSL-Colts) looking to make it two wins in a row when they meet the Castlereagh Hornets (Souths).
That will be followed by the later game between Christies Crackerjacks (Macquarie) and CYMS' Fishpond Cougars.
Christies Crackerjacks have impressed in recent seasons and last summer went down to the eventual champions, the Journeymen, in the semis.
"This has just always seemed to be our sort of game," skipper Keiran Brien said.
"We've got good young blokes in the field and some blokes who can hit the ball well so it suits us, especially just batting for 20 overs."
Brien pointed to Dan Medway as a big inclusion for his side with the spinning all-rounder a regular man of the match winner in the short form of the game.
Medway is expected to get through his four overs early on while he will be at the top of the order in the Crackerjacks powerful batting line-up.
With Medway, Brien, Jason Green, Dalton Medcalf and Haylock brothers Ed and Joe there is plenty of power-hitting in the team and the captain is keen to see his side make the most of their 20 overs in the middle.
"Dalton hits the ball clean and he'll be in the top five or six and then you've got a bloke like Ben Taylor, who will probably come in at seven and so it's a fairly handy line-up," he said.
CYMS will be without Stuart Naden, who is on Western Zone duty, and some of the club's younger payers are set to be given a chance.
While that second match of the night is sure to entertain, the opening match will also be one to watch with the Journeymen's stellar line-up up keen for another win.
With only five matches played before finals, the Journeymen will be confident a win on Friday night will go a long way to sealing a finals place.
They take on a Hornets side missing Western Zone trio Tim Berry, Mitch Bower and Will Lindsay.
The corresponding fixture last season brought about one of the most entertaining knocks of the season when Greg Buckley blasted 84 not out and helped his side reach the target of 119 in just the 10th over.
The English all-rounder will again be key on Friday, as will the likes of Chris Morton, Wes Giddings and Jason Ryan.
Young guns Asher Robins and Henry Railz will both be vital players for the Hornets.
The first game begins at 6.30pm with the Crackerjacks and Cougars meeting at 8.20pm.
