On Saturday the swimmers and their partners enjoyed some planned activities taking in the local area.
On Sunday the 'duck pond' was overflowing and there was plenty of keen competition and bantering between the three clubs.
The first event was the usual 25m freestyle which produced some very good swims.
Sue Younie from the Hornsby club showed a clean pair of heels to take out the final from Henry Willcockson and Ron Rich (Dubbo), Trevor Schwab (Harbord) and Vicki Cogan (Harbord).
The Croker Cup consists of a swimmer from Dubbo and Hornsby teamed together in a freestyle brace relay.
Tony Killelea and Ian Jones touched in first place, Doug Fuller and Sue Younie were next to touch, however both teams had been a bit too keen and broke their times.
This paved the way for Judy Walsh and Brian O'Keefe to collect the first prize from Jeanette O'Keefe and Col Fardell.
The Acka Gee brace relay is a long-standing event between Harbord and Dubbo, and is always keenly contested.
Trevor Schwab and Robert Rich came in first but alas they had broken their time by -1.05 seconds which gave the win to Judy Saunders and Xanthe Clarke.
John McLean and Ray Moon, Vicki Thompson and David Sparkes, and Ray Watson and Roger Mackay made up the final line-up.
The presentation and luncheon after the swim was very entertaining and enjoyable and the Dubbo Ducks thank the Hornsby and Harbord clubs for their visit and look forward to next year's visit at Harbord.
Congratulations to Billy Greenwood on winning the November trophy race sponsored by the Schoeffel family.
Thanks to Brian and his family for your generous support to the club.
David Sparkes (36) topped the point score for October from Nicole Johnstone (30) and Judy Walsh and Ron Everett tied on 28 points.
This Sunday we will be swimming for the Christmas hams and on Sunday, November 29 the Ducks will be swimming at the Narromine pool.
The swim will be followed by a picnic lunch and a visit to the local markets.
Please let Ron Everett know if you intend to participate.
