Regional Express (Rex) has outperformed rival airline QantasLink for punctuality on flights in and out of Dubbo.

The finding is from the Domestic airline on time performance September 2015 report released by the federal government's Bureau of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
For the Dubbo to Sydney route, 81.7 per cent of QantasLink's flights arrived on time, compared with 88.4 per cent of Rex flights. For departures on that route, QantasLink was on time in 81.7 per cent of cases, compared with Rex's 92.3 per cent.
For the Sydney to Dubbo route, 73 per cent of QantasLink arrivals were on time compared with Rex's figure of 96.8 per cent. For on time departures, Rex recorded a figure of 92.2 per cent, compared with QantasLink's 70.6 per cent.
Dubbo airport was not named among the top 10 airports for on time performance, although it has made the list previously.
With 98.8 per cent of them on time, Queensland's Proserpine airport topped the list for on time arrivals, edging out Alice Springs (98.3 per cent) and Newman (94.4 per cent). They were followed by Adelaide (93.6 per cent) and Mount Isa (93.5 per cent).
The WA mining centres of Port Hedland (95.6 per cent) and Karratha (95.2 per cent) topped the list for on time departures. These were followed by Alice Springs (94.8 per cent), Newman (94.4 per cent) and Port Lincoln (94.2 per cent).
