The Blues had Dave Murray to thank with his 71 leading the way as his side chased down the Cougars' 196 with just three balls to spare.
Earlier in the day, CYMS looked to Paul Suckling to lead the way as he belted 75 to give his side a defendable total.
Suckling scored 56 of his runs in fours and sixes while he did receive support from the likes of Samuel Thompson (27), Andrew Moreton (21) and captain Scott Russell (21).
The Blues made a solid start with Murray and James O'Malley (20) putting on 42 for the first wicket and then Ray Cusack (39) and Waseem Khan (22 not out) spent time with Murray during the successful run chase.

Sam Whalan's all-round heroics saw Newtown Gold defeat Rugby Red on Saturday.
Whalan took 4-35 to help restrict Rugby to 8-180 form their 40 overs before scoring 57 to help his side claim their third win from as many matches this season.
Brett Paul had earlier batted the entire 40 overs and held his side's innings together as he scored 84 not out but no other batsman was able to even make 20 as Whalan did the brunt of the damage with the ball.
Kain Simpson top scored with 66 in the run chase and his 76-run stand with Whalan proved the difference as Newtown Gold reached the target in the 31st over.
