To celebrate, a selection of stallholders from the Orange Region Farmers’ Market will be offering visitors a tasting of the region’s finest.
Called A Taste of The Land, the market will be taking place within the The Land building on J13-19.
“Throughout the day there’ll be plenty of fresh and packaged produce on offer to purchase from the stallholders at our special field day market,” market manager Cath Thompson said.
At 12.15 and 2.15pm, there will be special tasting plates created using some of the ingredients on offer.
There will be olive oil from Abilene Grove and Paling Yards, beer from the Borenore Brewhouse and 1859 Brewery, Cordials from Jarojil and Millamolong, preserves from Franklin Road and Greentrees Gourmet, honey from Cottesbrook and Goldfields plus hazelnuts from Fourjay Farms, Doug’s gourmet potatoes, Condobolin oranges, Salt Birds salt, wine from Borrodell vineyard and orchard, The Walnut Grove and fresh fruit from Thornbrook Orchard and Mastronardi’s Orchard.
Skincare comes from Lavendilli Blue and Ploughman’s Hill while Mudgee is represented with Linda’s Hot Chilli relish and Milnes from Mudgee.
“You can get some local recipes, special offers and best of all, meet and buy direct from the growers,” Ms Thompson said.
“All who make a purchase go in the draw to win a produce bag with compliments of the Orange Region Farmers’ Market.”
