Hugh Bateman from Mudgee is driving the tractor across NSW to raise money and awareness for the McGrath Foundation.
The trip started at Mudgee on Friday and will see Mr Bateman cover more than 26,000 kilometres before he's done.
"It's going pretty good. It's the first leg but the machine's going really well," he said.
"I'm finding people on the road all wonderful and courteous. Trucks have been honking and waving, they've been calling out on the radio."
Working in real estate and interacting with different clients, Mr Bateman said he came to realise how many people were impacted by the disease.
"Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer," he said.
"Fifteen thousand new cases are being diagnosed every year and it's not just women. Of those 150 will be men." The goal is to raise $250,000 and so far Mr Bateman said he has raised about $60,000.
"It costs about $380,000 over a three year period to train and employ a breast care nurse," he said.

"The tractor only goes 30 kilometres an hour. A turtle would beat me. But I'm seeing parts of the country I've never ever seen before," Mr Bateman said.
