Darrin Rouhan, 54, had previously pleaded guilty but on Wednesday he did not appear before Dubbo Local Court.
Rouhan's matter had previously been listed on September 23.
On that day his solicitor said his client instructed he had been involved in a motor vehicle crash at Warwick on his way to court, and the matter was adjourned until October 7.
When he did not appear on the new date, his solicitor sought and was granted leave to withdraw.
Rouhan was pulled over by police in Talbragar Street and recorded a reading of 0.08 on the night of June 11, court documents show.
Magistrate Andrew Eckhold said noting the plea of guilty but that Rouhan had not appeared he fined him $1000 and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
