The Yowies defeated Yuin Monaro United on Saturday and followed that up on Sunday with wins over Combined Countries and then a classic against the powerful Griffith 3 Ways United side.
That set up a quarter-final clash with Wanaruah and the Yowies never really got out of first gear and went on to win 34-6.
"It's been a long day but we've got to rest up and come inot the morning fresh, have a good recovery and compete again," NRL halfback Tyrone Roberts aid after the win, before speaking about the day's searing temperatures.
"It's just the heat and you've got to look after yourself and the team and the more you do that the better you're going to be."
Fan favourite and Yowies favourite Timana Tahu stayed on the bench the entire match against Wanaruah, again reiterating how strong the Yowies are, but it did nothing to harm their momentum
Eight minutes in Bennett Leslie crossed to set up a 6-0 lead and it was all the Yowies from there with further tries to Roberts, following a delightful dummy, and Stephen Gordon soon had to score out to 16-0.
Right on halftime the Newcastle team went in again with Roberts again heavily involved with his bat on landing perfectly on the chest of Chris Ahsee, who strolled over.
Shortly after the break the Yowies were again in when they went 100m in one play and Richard Roberts scored.
Wanaruah crossed with 10 to go but a late Richie Allen four-pointer sealed the Yowies dominant victory.
After the win Tyrone Roberts poke of his pride at playing with the Yowies, saying it was out of respect to someone the Newcastle community held very close.
"It's about playing with your mob but it's also about respect too and for me I'm not from Newcastle but I'm playing my respect to one of the boy's dad, Jimmy Wright, who passed away and he's been a good role model in Newcastle so I thought it was good to come play with the Yowies for a year and there's plenty more Knockouts to come."
