The full-day event included musicians such as Pete Riley, Mick Picton, Dave Daley and Lizzie Sutton playing from 11am to 6pm, to raise money for Max McIntyre.

"I do a charity event every year of some kind and Max is close to my heart. I have a friend who's a muso and it just grew from there," event organiser Ms Lyons said.

"They're all volunteer musicians, all donating their time to a great cause.

"Everything is donated so every dollar out of the $40 tickets goes to Max."

Ms Lyons said she was especially grateful to Signorama for donating all the signs for the day.

In March last year, Max was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, and despite being told at the time he only had days to live, he has continued to fight the odds.

Max's father Rob McIntyre said he was overwhelmed with the amount of community support for Max.

"This is a big step in helping us get to where we want to go with Max's treatment and equipment," Mr McIntyre said.

As well as the music there were also lucky door prizes and about 25 stalls.

Ms Lyon said it was great to see people enjoyed the day.

"It's a perfect day. There's perfect weather, the music's awesome."
