Rockbuster set a solid pace at Come By Chance with Gulgong-based Alan Barton giving Centabeel a nice run close to the speed.

Making it 12 wins and 20 placings from a 92 start career, Centabeel ($5) took the Cup by more than a length from Right Of Reply (Mark Webber, 2.60 favourite) with Easyaye (Ashley Boyd, 6.00) third.

Nyngan trainer Rodney Robb and Mark Webber had earlier won the Rabobank Class B Handicap (800 metres) with Ace Lightning, part-owned by well-known harness racing trainer-driver and Dubbo-based stock and station agent Martin Simmons.

Despite wanting to hang outwards turning for home Ace Lightning (1.80 favourite) finished too well for Where's Roger (Michael Gray, 7.00) and Macho Nacho (Ricky Blewitt, 8.00).

At debut Ace Lightning had won over 800m at a Narromine TAB meeting.

All the way from the Jennifer Williams stable at Wangaratta in Victoria, A Burst Of Orange with Melbourne-based Ashlee Beer in the saddle survived a protest to win the Statewide Sheds Maiden Plate (1000 metres).

Beaten in a photo finish at debut by Milko at Gilgandra, A Burst Of Orange (2.70 favourite) greeted the judge at Come By Chance a short half-head in advance of Jaroda Choice (Billy Owen, 5.00) with more than two lengths to third-placed Jonah Hex (Michael Gray, 4.00).

Webber finished with a double after also winning the Come-By-Chance Picnic Sprint (1000m) with Oh No Gecko ($5).

The John Tyack-trained galloper finished one-and-half lengths ahead of Little Queen ($2.80) while pore-race favourite Path To Freedom ($2.10) had to settle for third for Kennedy.

King Of The Creek ($4) took out the Class B Handicap (1200m) for trainer Darryl Roberts.

With Ashley Boyd in the saddle King Of The Creek won by half-a-length from Kizz's Munro ($3.20 equal favourite) and Rubber Bullet ($17).
