Minor premiers Dubbo CYMS take on the second-placed Parkes Spacemen in first grade in what should be a great game to decide the premier team of 2015. These two teams have been at the top all year and deserve to fight for the major prize. I would like to take this opportunity to wish both clubs all the best.
The under-18s fixture is between Dubbo CYMS and fifth-placed Dubbo Macquarie in a local derby.
We will witness some very fine young footballers from both sides. The record of both teams supports their credentials to be playing the final game of the season.
The game really has all the ingredients to be a titanic struggle and patrons will witness this high-class contest in which selecting a winner is indeed a difficult task, but may the strongest team prevail.
Dubbo Westside take on another fifth-placed team in Dubbo Macquarie in the reserve grade fixture and we can guarantee a game where no quarter will be asked for and no quarter given.
Neither side lacks experience, with some very mature players in both sides. May the best team win.
This year we have introduced Women's League Tag and from all the feedback it has been an outstanding success. Westside take on Parkes which will be a great game. The skills these ladies have shown all year have impressed. May the best team win and welcome to Group 11.
May I sincerely thank all participating clubs, their individual sponsors, volunteers and supporters for making our competition one of the strongest in CRL, and although several clubs battled hard to meet their obligations I acknowledge their perseverance and dedication. Last week's presentation night was a great success and I thank all involved for their support and we look forward to building this event.
We will review the night at our AGM on the November 11 so all feedback is welcome.
Tooheys Ltd continued their long association with our Group, being the major sponsor of our competition and to their regional manager Brian King I convey the Group's whole-hearted appreciation and look forward to his company's ongoing patronage.
Thank you to the Parkes Leagues Club and Newtown Jets for providing a shield for the League Tag competition. To chairman John Millar and his directors of Dubbo RSL Memorial Club, I also express our Group's thanks for sponsoring our under-18s competition.
Although down on numbers we appreciate those referees who on some occasions refereed at two different fixtures to ensure we had enough officials at all games.
Again I would like to recognise and congratulate our young referees who did a first-class job this year.
Refereeing in today's society is certainly character building and to all our whistle-blowers we could not operate without your support of our code and we look forward to your association's continued support in 2016.
To each of our Group's subcommittees, coaches and managers who have professionally controlled business through their respective portfolios special congratulations is extended for your invaluable assistance.
To all media outlets that spread the message throughout the Central West we owe you all a debt of gratitude and on behalf of all league teams say a simple thank you.
A special thank you to Ben Walker, Nick Guthrie and the Daily Liberal for bringing our game to the world.
To the Group management committee thank you for your support.
Unfortunately we don't have a crystal ball but we do try to be fair to all clubs and play by the rules.
Lastly, to the supporters of rugby league and in particular Group 11 I would like to thank you for your financial support of the competition. Without the paying public we wouldn't have a game. I encourage you, on behalf our all Group 11 clubs, to continue your support.
