The sculptures were created using timber found at the estate at the Sculptures by the River exhibition held in August, under the guidance of renowned artist Brett Garling.
While they won't be running in the Melbourne Cup anytime soon, the extravagant equines, Horsome and Birtha, will be auctioned on behalf of the Pink Angels, a local organisation which supports breast cancer patients in the region.
The sculpture Horsome was created by team members of the Pink Angels, Anne Gemmell and Pam Urquhart, which took out the People's Choice Award on the final day of the exhibition.
The Pink Angels are encouraging residents to frolic among the fillies for a light lunch at Lazy River Estate at 12pm on September 13, prior to the auction.
Tickets are available for purchase from Prestige Jewellers on Macquarie Street for $25.
Full bar facilities will be available at the function.
