AS it stands right now, the Orange Tigerettes will play in Saturday's Central West AFL Women's preliminary final against the Dubbo Demons, thanks to a player qualification gaffe from the Cowra Blues.

The Blues trumped Orange by 22 points in last Sunday's minor semi-final at Mulyan Oval, but after being made aware the former had fielded unqualified players Central West AFL was forced to declare the match a forfeit on Cowra's behalf, gifting the Tigerettes progression.
Although the Orange team is currently locked in to play in Saturday's penultimate game against Dubbo, Cowra do have a right of appeal which CWAFL chairman Craig Gale said needed to be filed sooner rather than later.
"As it stands Orange will be playing, but Cowra do have the right to appeal the decision," Gale said on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately there was a qualification issue with some Cowra players."
While it remains unconfirmed, subject to the Blues' appeal, Orange coach Matt Tabbernor said his troops were excited by the prospect of potentially still being able to qualify for a grand final.
"A lot of them were talking about it yesterday and they're very excited, mainly because they would get another game of footy," Tigresses coach Matt Tabbernor said.
"But obviously because it's a final as well, and we'd only be one win from a grand final berth.
"That would be incredible for the side, and probably a bit of a shock to the competition."
If his side is confirmed to be through to Saturday's penultimate game, Tabbernor said he was confident the Tigerettes would come up trumps.
"We haven't actually played our best against Dubbo this year, we've had to play them in Dubbo every time which has been the problem I think," Tabbernor said.
"We haven't had our best side on the paddock against them, so hopefully we'd be able to get our best team on the field and really show Dubbo that we can play good footy.
"We can improve defensively from last week, we let Cowra get loose too often I think.
"We were competitive in the middle, but we just couldn't hold the ball defensively."
