Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson said in circumstances where private property had been damaged and residents would incur unexpected costs it was important council contribute to the clean up.
"Dubbo City Council has responded by planning to conduct a kerbside clean up for residents of Harefield Drive, Debeaufort Drive, Whitewood Road, Toryburn Way and Torwood Road. The affected zone may also extend to Hillside Drive after further inspections are carried out," Cr Dickerson said.
"Property owners inside the 'affected zone' will be able to place materials on the road reserve at the front of their property and council will arrange removal at no cost.
"There will also be no limits on the amount of material that can be removed.
"Final arrangements including negotiations with the annual cleanup contractor and availability of equipment are currently being made in order to confirm dates for the cleanup to take place.
"Council staff will be in contact with property owners by way of letterbox drop or other means to provide more details when the schedule for the cleanup has been confirmed."
Residents in the affected zone can contact Dubbo City Council Customer Service Centre on 6801 4000 to have their details recorded to confirm preferred contact means if they wish.
