Saturday saw one of the more incredible matches in recent times played out as the Forbes Magpies were eliminated by Dubbo Westside in the cruellest of circumstances.
The Magpies led by one point and looked to have the match won with less than two minutes remaining but an intercept led to a Westside try and set off the celebrations among the Rabbitohs faithful.
Kurt Fuller was the hero for the men in red and green as his try inside the final minute kept Westside dreams alive.
This was followed by Sunday's major semi at Parkes with the Spacemen proving they are going to have a big say in this season's finals after defeating the Wellington Cowboys 26-18.
Justin Toomey-White again starred for the Cowboys and scored a hat-trick but with Dennis Moran guiding around an imposing forward pack and fullback Sam Dwyer chiming in, the Spacemen proved too strong.
It sets up another bumper round of major and minor semi-finals next weekend with CYMS meeting Parkes for a spot in the decider while the hopes of Wellington and Westside go on the line when they meet on Sunday.
