Barden Park was recently re-named as DCL Park as part of a corporate partnership package with Dubbo City Locksmiths.
However, Dubbo City Council has decided to name the function room the John Barden Room to ensure the ongoing presence of the name in the athletics facility.
Mr Barden was mayor between February 11, 1915, and February 10, 1916, December 9, 1925, and December 7 1928, and December 6, 1929 and December 15, 1930.
