The official public opening of the Chicken Diaries will be held at Dundullimal on Friday at 6pm, showcasing more than 30 pieces of art put together by 13 extremely talented local artists.
Chicken Diaries exhibition co-ordinator Sandra Gaffney said the pieces were a "sort of art-meets-social-media featuring a fanciful flock of chickens and their friends".
Ms Gaffney said the concept behind the Chicken Diaries exhibition first appeared on the Facebook page of her sister, Lynette Chave.
She said her sister began sharing photos of various chickens and other animals, including a pet rabbit, adding her own little twist of words to accompany the images, which now appeared on her blog, The Joyfallee Chronicles.
"Since then, people have commented on the posts and added their own bits to the animals' stories," she said.
Ms Gaffney said the Fresh Arts artists had been challenged to interpret the birds of Joyfallee in their chosen mediums, featuring painted works, prints and greeting cards to name a few.
"We've also created a Chicken Diaries 2016 calendar which will be available for purchase at the opening on Friday evening, along with the featured art works," Ms Gaffney said.
All proceeds raised from the calendar will be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The exhibition will be on show at Dundullimal Homestead until September 8.
