Amberlilly is one of only 15 students from across the state to be selected for the prestigious group, which will perform this week at the opening of the Netball World Cup in Sydney.
The year 11 student auditioned and was selected earlier this year during a Department of Education workshop at Delroy Campus run in conjunction with Bangarra Dance Theatre.
Her inclusion this year in the group represents the second time Amberlilly has been selected, with her first experience at State level during year 9 at Delroy Campus in 2013.
The 16-year-old said she loved Aboriginal dance and was excited about the opportunities her involvement in the dance company would bring.
"We will have a number of engagements between now and the end of the year," she said.
"The group will first perform on Friday night at the official opening of the Netball World Cup in Sydney, and there will also be performances at the State Dance Festival, Corroboree Sydney 2015 and the Schools Spectacular.
"I'll be travelling to and from Sydney regularly for practice and performances for the next few months."
Interestingly Amberlilly only started dancing seriously six months ago when she joined Dubbo Ballet Studio.
"I danced a bit at the PCYC when I was younger but this year I decided to take it more seriously," Amberlilly said.
"I now study a full range of dance including lyrical, tap, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre.
"After I finish year 12 at Senior Campus next year I would really like to audition for NAISDA Dance College, which is Australia's premier Indigenous training college.
"Ultimately it would be great to be selected as part of the Bangarra Dance Theatre - that would be fantastic."
