So far 10 people, mainly classroom teachers, are confirmed for the workshop, and come from schools in Dubbo and surrounding towns like Narromine, Warren, Coonabarabran and Binnaway.
The workshop will be presented by Tony Britten, a secondary English teacher and consultant, who Ms Fraser believes will be a fantastic speaker and will offer great insight for all attendees.
"Tony does a lot of work in the metropolitan areas so it is great we were able to get him," she said.
"We have a good number confirmed and we are expecting several more this week."
The workshop aims to develop teachers' knowledge, skills and strategies for creative writing, which they will then incorporate into their programs for students from year 7 to 10.
Ms Fraser, who is the relieving principal at Binnaway Central School, believes getting teachers together from different schools around the region will help to streamline teaching practices which will be to the students benefit.
"The workshop will help us tighten our program and make it more continuous across all schools and individual schools that may have multiple English teachers," she said.
"We will be working on strategies to engage with reluctant students, and how we as teachers can approach those situations."
Ms Fraser implores teachers to attend the workshop, firmly of the opinion the networking opportunity can be very beneficial for professional development.
"These workshops can really help re-focus and re-enthuse you, especially if you are the only English teacher at your school," she said.
"You are seeing other teachers, giving each other advice and you might pick something up that can really help you get your message across.
"They are great opportunities and I really encourage people where possible to attend them."
The workshop will be held at the Bangamalanha Centre, Arthur Street, Dubbo this Saturday with registration at 9am.
