The Rabbitohs put a tumultuous week behind them to run in 10 tries, in the process giving themselves a four-point buffer over Nyngan on the competition ladder with just one round of matches remaining before the semi-finals start.
The win pleased coach Robbie Dunn, who did not say much after the match but took a jab at cross-town rivals Macquarie.
"Macquarie said some things about us that weren't nice, about wanting to try and stuff up our season and make us miss finals," he said. "Well we're there now, and I couldn't be prouder of how the boys bounced back. We can go a long way in this competition."
