Ken was born in Darlinghurst Sydney at an early age left Sydney in search of work in the Blue Mountains and moved to Nyngan where he met his bride, the "Lovely Dawn".
Together they travelled extensively throughout Australia in his vocation as Presbyterian Minister.
They and their three daughters, Nikki Sinclair, Angela Armstrong and Vicki Armstrong spent time in Ernabella, Northern Territory where Ken managed a produce store.
Ken ended his role as a minister and retired to Peak Hill to establish the Bogan Times Newspaper which he handed over a few years ago due to ill health.
Earlier this year Ken was the recipient of ground breaking heart surgery and is enjoying some improved health.
