The Fishies ran in 14 tries to two at Caltex Park with Colby Pellow scoring a hat-trick while five-eighth Matt Naden was instrumental throughout and finished with a personal tally of 24 points.
"We started a little slow first five or 10 minutes but then got into our rhythm and it was good, everyone played well," Ryan said after the match.
"We were a little flat there at stages but obviously the scoreboard looks pretty good."
The match was virtually over after half-an-hour with CYMS out to a 26-0 lead, mainly due to the work of the forwards with Ilisoni Vonomateiratu, Ash Conn and Jordan Reynolds all crossing.
Cobar did get on the board before half-time through a leaping Shannon Boney but Colby Pellow's double and a try to Marshall Sing had the Fishies up 38-6 at the break.
With CYMS having already all but sealed the result, Ryan said from there on it was it more a matter of the Fishies ensuring their own game was at its best.
"I just said (at half-time) games like this you can't worry too much about the opposition, it's how you do things," he said.
"Being at marker and defence and attitude, completing sets and gauging your own performance."
A brilliant 90-metre run from Scott Burgess saw him open the scoring shortly after the break while Hamish Astill and James Pomfret also got their maiden first grade tries as CYMS ran away with the match.
Mason Garland did cross for Cobar but they were never really in the contest as CYMS continued their march towards the minor premiership.
