The famed trophy made the visit when it stopped by the NSW NIB Games which was hosted by the Hunter Academy of Sport earlier this month.
With the Netball World Cup in Sydney from August 7 to 16, at Sydney Olympic Park, the Trophy Tour is a showcase of the sport's prize and a celebration of the event.
As a part of the Netball World Cup Sydney 2015's Official Trophy Tour, the Tour stopped off at the NSW NIB Games as a part of the its plan to cover more than 14,500 kilometres in four-months, giving in excess of 100,000 netballers the opportunity to get up close to netball's most prestigious prize.
As well as having their photo taken with the trophy, our region's players had the chance to meet Nettie - the official mascot of NWC2015, send a postcard message to the Diamonds, enjoy the Trophy Tour playlist and the opportunity to take part in a range of activities and giveaways thanks to NWC2015.
Kath Tetley, GM of Marketing, Media, Community and Legacy, said the Trophy Tour is all about community and a critical part of the Netball World Cup fan experience as the event draws nearer.
"We have been overwhelmed by the passionate support we have received from netballers, netball friends and community when we arrive with the Netball World Cup Trophy Tour," she said.
"The Trophy Tour is all about our netball family.
"We have been invited to netball Clubs and Associations all over Australia - we only wish we had more hours in the day - or perhaps a teleporter could help us to see everyone before our event arrives.
"Our netball family is huge and our role is to give as many netballers the chance experience the Trophy Tour."
The Netball World Cup, featuring 192 of the world's best players, is returning to Australian shores for the first time in 24 years and will run for 10 days from August 7.
The tournament's Gold Medal match will take place at Allphones Arena in Sydney on Sunday, August 16.
