More than 370,000 people have walked through the doors of the DRTCC since it officially opened on July 23, 2010.
During that time, 140,369 of those visitors sat down to enjoy one or more of the 483 shows which graced the stage.
One-hundred-and-three of those were sold out performances.
Staff, sponsors, theatre patrons and members of the community gathered at the DRTCC foyer on Thursday morning to celebrate the five-year milestone.
DRTCC manger Linda Christof said it was heartwarming to know the Dubbo community had embraced the cultural facility.
With the 2015 program designed to "Shake It Up", Ms Christof said she was pleased her vision for the theatre experience had been well received.
"We've taken a few risks and it's paid off in our ticket sales."
Ms Christof said the 2015 program had been popular among the theatre-goers, with big things planned for August.

The Paris Underground, a taste of the French cabaret scene, is set to wow the audience on August 22, along with Sex With Strangers on August 11, starring Tottie Goldsmith and Samuel Johnson.
Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson said he believed it would be difficult to find someone in the community who said the DRTCC wasn't fantastic for Dubbo.
"The theatre has changed the culture of the city," Cr Dickerson said.
Since 2010, Cr Dickerson said 34 per cent of ticket sales had come from other shires, such as Narromine, Coonabarabran and Orange.
"People have traveled here because of the high quality of shows we have on offer," Cr Dickerson said.
While the facility has not only been used to host big name performers such as David Campbell, Guy Sebastian, Marina Prior and Tom Burlinson, Dubbo Theatre Company's Chris Bray praised the opportunities presented at the DRTCC for local performers.
Ms Bray said the sophistication of the revamped facilities had allowed local performers to take their shows to the next level and offer "the big city experience".
Ms Christof and her team took the opportunity to welcome Dubbo Land Rover as a centre stage platinum sponsor of the DRTCC.
"We are thrilled with the support of the local businesses, particularly David Payne Constructions, Laser Electrical Dubbo, Astley Plumbing and Hardware and Paula O'Leary Physiotherapy," she said.
