Operating out of a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, it offers free health checks to children living in rural and remote communities.
Royal Far West, the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD) and Ronald McDonald House Charities are delivering the program. Nyngan public and preschool and the Bogan Bush Mobile have supported the visit.
The health assessments include checking of children's hearing, teeth, fine and gross motor skills, and language and speech. Western NSW LHD spokeswoman Debrah Davis said the key component of the program was the co-ordinated pathway to care.
"It provides the opportunity to connect the child's local GP with the child and family health nurse and other local and specialist services, providing a whole picture of the child's health and developmental needs," she said.
The program, already delivered to communities such as Grenfell, Coolah, and Dunedoo, recently received $450,000 from the NSW Government.
In 2014 it was recognised at the state's prestigious 2014 Health Awards and Innovation symposium.
