The central west was blanketed in snow, with some places recording the heaviest falls in years.
Residents in Orange, Bathurst and everywhere in between captured the snow as it fell.

1.15pm: Jenolan Caves Road is open between Hampton and Jenolan Caves but there is snow on the road.
11.20am: Technicians are working in blizzard-like conditions on Mount Canobolas to restore power affecting television and radio transmitters and Essential Energy says it is unable to advise when the power will be restored.
Cabonne Council is turning back vehicles while Essential Energy is continuing to get its vehicles as close to the summit as possible.
"Some of the technicians have had to get out and walk," a Cabonne Council spokesman said.
A fault occurred on the high voltage electricity network about 2am overnight, shutting off power to 75 customers in Nashdale and Mount Canobolas.
Crews from Orange's Essential Energy depot responded during the night and 30 customers in the area had power restored at 4am.
Poor visibility and heavy snow caused further patrolling of the powerline to be postponed until first light this morning.
Crews are now patrolling the powerline on foot in the areas which are accessible.
Essential Energy says road closures means much of the area remains inaccessible to crews.
10.01am: Cabonne Council is in the process of securing a grader to clear a path to the top of Mount Canobolas which will allow access by technicians who need to repair the outage.
Thousands of Central West residents are affected with no television or radio coverage.
ABC radio is transmitting a broadcast signal from Dubbo.

►Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow is OPEN.
►Hartley to Jenolan Caves Road is CLOSED.
►O'Connell Road between Bathurst and Oberon is CLOSED.
►The Oberon to Jenolan Caves Road is CLOSED.
►Oberon Shire Council advises all major roads in the area are CLOSED
8.30am: Residents in Orange and across the central west have awoken to find television and radio transmission has been affected by an outage of signal towers on Mount Canobolas.
Emergency services are now involved in discussions to determine if access can be gained to the top of the mountain, with police to oversee the opening of the gates to the top of the mountain which have been locked since Friday.
Cabonne Council are now in the process of clearing the backroad to see if access is possible.
7.55am: We have had some more road closures this morning, see below for the latest updates. Please drive extra carefully in these extreme weather conditions.
► Motorists are now able to use the Great Western Highway between Mount Lambie and Yetholme as emergency service crews are escorting vehicles through the area.
Motorists should follow the direction of traffic controllers and allow extra travel time as the travel through the area.
Roads across the state remain closed due to the snow and ice conditions.
► O'Connell Road between Bathurst and Oberon is closed due to snow and ice.
► Duckmaloi Road is closed between Oberon and Jenolan Caves Road due to snow and ice.
► Roads in and out of Oberon are currently closed due to snow.
► The New England Highway is closed in between Glen Innes and Bendemeer. There is no alternative route available around the closure and motorists should delay their journey.
