The NSW government is investing $48 million under its Reskilling NSW initiative to provide 200,000 free training places over the next four years to help young people gain the qualifications they need to secure a job.
Applications for these free training places are open from today and I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity if you are eligible.
The new Smart and Skilled Fee-Free Scholarships is just one of the many programs being developed to address youth unemployment, create local jobs and deliver a productive state economy which benefits us all.
Students can take up one scholarship per financial year up to a maximum of two scholarships in the period July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.

Funding Programs
Applications are now open for the 2015 round of the Community Building Partnerships program. If you have an infrastructure project that meets a need in the community I encourage you to assess your eligibility and apply.
Over the past four years we have been able to fund some amazing community projects across the electorate everything from sporting club equipment and infrastructure to re-stumping of Men’s Sheds and building new kitchens at the local CWA Hall.

FOOTY FUND
The NSW Footy Facilities Fund is also open for applications. This is a joint initiative between the NSW government and the NRL.
The primary focus on the program is to improve Rugby League facilities for a variety of benefits from increasing participation in sport and building strong communities.
The NSW government and the NRL are behind our local footy clubs and support the work they do in our communities.
