THE Dubbo Demons return home to South Dubbo Oval for another clash with Central West AFL powerhouse, Orange Tigers.
The Tigers are the undisputed standouts this season and are undefeated at the top of the ladder while it couldn't be more different for the struggling Demons.
Languishing at the foot of the ladder with no wins to their name, the Demons will be desperate to produce an improved performance.
Last weekend Mick Daly and his men were on the receiving end of a 187-point drubbing at the hands of the Bathurst Bushrangers
Each time they have played the Tigers this season the results have also been lopsided but at home the Demons are well-known for having a stronger line-up at home.
They have been struck by unavailability again with the likes of Charlie Maher, Malachi Dutschke and Ryan Woolfe just some of the players set to be missing.
With those players not on the paddock, the pressure will be on Sam Whalan, Terry Lyons, Struan Pearce and Arend Boog to lead from the front.
If the Demons were too look at the Tigers lineup they may get worried by the name Matt Tabbernor on the list but it will come as a relief when they realise that name is spelt slightly differently to that of Fremantle Dockers star, Matt Taberner.
Tabbernor, known to Dubbo sporting circles after being a former playing for the CYMS Cougars cricket club, has made a comeback to the Tigers first grade side and is well aware shutting down the Demons at home is infinitely harder than anywhere else in the competition.
"It doesn't matter what grade, be it ladies, under-18s, reserves or firsts, Dubbo is always better at home," he said.
"We'll have to be at the top of our game to get the job done."
The Tigers currently have a number of players on the sideline with injury, and Tabbernor said while ever he's getting the call to fill the void, he'll be doing his bit to help the club claim a third consecutive flag.
"It doesn't matter what I do, I'll always try and do the best I can and if that means I can play a couple of first grade games every now and then, then I'm pretty happy with that," he added.
"But with the team at the moment, there's a few guys out injured.
"I'm happy to take the opportunity though."
First bounce is at 2.30pm.
