Australian Geographic Adventures will show off the majestic Macquarie River as host Caroline goes paddle-boarding, and take viewers through the world-renowned Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
Meanwhile, co-host David will spend an evening at the Siding Springs Observatory in the Warrumbungles, taking in the stars.
Dubbo City Council manager of city development and communications Natasha Comber said the show was filmed earlier this year, and linked nicely with the Great Western Plains - Great Big Adventures partnership between Dubbo, Warrumbungle, Coonamble, Gilgandra, Narromine and Wellington councils.
"The episode reflects the breadth of experiences that can be enjoyed by visitors to our region and helps to promote Dubbo and surrounds as a desirable destination and a place of great big adventures," Ms Comber said.
"Screened across Australia, Australian Geographic Adventures will help promote Dubbo to a national audience, showcase a variety of experiences available in Dubbo and surrounds, and help trigger visitation to our region."
Episode 7: Great Western Plains, NSW will air on channel nine on Saturday, July 4, from 4pm. The following week, 3.30pm Saturday, July 11, will feature the red dirt roads of the state's far west, taking in Bourke out to Broken Hill.
