The International Wrestling Australia (IWA) headliner hails from Wellington and went to high school in Dubbo, and he said there was something special about a regional crowd.
"I love working the rural crowd, the central west just has this awesome vibe and this energy," Gibbs said.
"I've been to America, but to come to Dubbo is still the most fun."
The IWA is coming to Dubbo on Saturday for one night only at the Dubbo RSL. The show combines larger-than-life characters with the age-old battle of good against evil, and with intense physicality and fit-looking athletes, Gibbs said there's something for men and women of all ages.
"It's like a live-action movie that you get to participate in. The show relies on the crowd being a passionate one," Gibbs said.
"I think if you haven't been then you'll love it, and if you have been before then it's going to remind you why you come to live wrestling."
There will be about ten wrestlers on the card for Saturday night, with matches ranging from one-on-one showdowns to tag-team match-ups, "and hopefully a few surprises in there as well".
"It's that high energy," Gibbs said.
"We're going for big impact, big noise, big characters, and hopefully a really engaging night that people are going to remember. Plus heaps of Tyson Gibbs and that's always a good thing!"
The show kicks off at 8pm on Saturday, July 4 at Dubbo RSL, with tickets starting at $14 for kids and $16 for adults. Visit www.iwawrestling.com.au/tour/ for more information.
