Her mother, Sylviane Riley, was admitted to the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital on Thursday, June 25, after a full body scanned revealed masses on her brain, lungs and on a gland near her kidneys.
"It's all happened so fast," she said.
"First she got a test in Dubbo because she was getting headaches and now they've found all these masses which have spread."
This devastating news has come just two years after Cindy lost her father to liver cancer.
"Losing my father took a toll emotionally and financially," Ms Riley said.
"It's hard to ask for help, but the reason I'm doing this is to not only cover medical fees, but accommodation and travel expenses," she said.
Cindy and her family have set up an account on a website designed specially for causes like this.
Hoping to raise at least $5000 for her mother, Cindy's account on the GoFundMe website, has already received more than $200 of donations.
Cindy said her family would be receiving confirmation of her mother's illness in the upcoming days, who will remain at RPA for the time being.
