Dunn said last weekend's win over Forbes was "without a doubt" the best performance under his coaching and the perfect preparation for the blockbuster clash against the undefeated Fishies.
"We're on a high and we've got nothing to lose," he said.
"The boys have got the belief in themselves, it's always a task playing CYMS, Parkes or Forbes but we can lift to that category too."
While the talent in the Rabbitohs backline has always been well known, Dunn was hugely impressed with the forwards during the 44-26 victory over the Magpies.
He singled out second-rower Colt Tairua as a standout this season and someone capable of playing for Group 11 next year.
Dunn also praised two of his key attacking talents who he believes are as good as any in the western region.
"They (CYMS) have got a few Western Division players and they'll be ones to watch but I think we've got the best centre and one of the best halves in Group 11 and Western Division," he said.
"Quentin Dickinson has been unbelievable, he'll be player of the year if Group 11 are genuine and you're always a chance when Josh Merritt plays well too."
The battle between the two backlines will be one to watch with respective five-eighths, Merritt and CYMS' Colby Pellow, both capable of deciding a match on their own.
CYMS fullback Kieran Shipp scored twice last time the sides met, a game the Fishies won 36-28 in torrential rain at Caltex Park.
That game was all-square with only six minutes remaining and 28 points remains the second most the Fishies have conceded in a game this season.
CYMS come into the match on the back of a routine win over Narromine last week and have named an unchanged starting lineup.
Jarryn Powyer will be a key figure up front against the likes of Tairua, Dylan Hill and Westside captain Shane Konz while Matt Naden continues to impress from lock this season.
Luke Jenkins and Billy Sing will provide plenty of impact on the bench and will be sure to test the Westside defence when they enter the fray.
A huge crowd is expected at No. 1 Oval Sunday for a local derby between two in-form teams with both teams having plenty to play for.
