On Friday, residents on off-road motorbikes began searching an area "between the Bourke road and the hospital road" for any sign of 26-year-old Danielle (Nelly) Martin, according to Ms Martin's cousin Angela Green.
Ms Martin was last seen at her Hartmann Street home on Monday.
Ms Green told the Daily Liberal it was "fairly boggy terrain" in the area at the moment due to recent rain and motorcycles were the logical way to get in and out of the area.
While she remained concerned she had "not heard a thing" from her cousin, Ms Green said she had been heartened by the number of people who had sprung into action to help.
There were even reports on social media of a local tyre service offering to repair tyres free of charge for people using their bikes as part of the search.
Police say on the day after Ms Martin was last seen, she spoke with her partner and friend via mobile phone, but had not been heard from since.
She was reported missing to police on Wednesday, prompting officers attached to Darling River Local Area Command to launch an investigation.
Ms Martin is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with long, dark hair, brown eyes and a medium build.
She may be driving a white Toyota Hilux, bearing registration CER-45R, which she drove from her home on Monday. Anyone who knows her whereabouts or has information that could help police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
