Everyone donated a gold coin on the day and there were prizes handed out for the best-dressed supporters, kindly donated by Sportsco, and coloured food sold at the canteen.
Miley Shipp was the best-dressed Blues supporter and Charlotte McGrath Nolan was the best-dressed of the Maroons.
A great day was had but unfortunately the result went the wrong way. Stay tuned for game two.
Under Mrs Barlow's guidance, we have had some debating teams participating in some matches against Dubbo West and Dubbo South.
The students are really enjoying the challenge and have improved tremendously since they started.
Mrs Barlow said the students had done the school proud and been Responsible, Safe and Respectful.
Last Tuesday Mrs Pilon organised a visit from some soccer coaches to come in and put the primary students through their paces.
Students learnt how to trap a ball, dribble it and how to pass effectively.
All the students who participated enjoyed the experience and some of the senior boys received some extra pointers as we are due to play Orana Heights PS in the next round of the NSW PSSA Soccer Knockout. All the best boys.
As the students have been Responsible, Safe and Respectful and been collecting win bin tickets, all the students enjoyed a PBL whole-school rewards afternoon in Week 4.
This comprised of a disco during school time (Infants noon-1.10pm and Primary 2.25-3.25pm) and then an ice block to cool down afterwards. Mrs Clarke and the class captains thought of this award and it was well received by the whole school.
Keep up the great work kids.
