Under new coach Zac Merritt, the Magpies have established themselves a legitimate title contender with one loss from their seven games so far this season.
Their one loss was a 26-14 defeat at the hands of Dubbo CYMS at Apex Oval back in April, and they carry a five-game winning streak into this weekend's contest.
"They've done well with building a side that is going well, but we can't worry too much about what they're doing," Moran said.
"Our job is to just keep doing what we have been doing. When you worry about another team then you're half-way to being beaten.
"If we go out and play the style of footy we've been playing, hopefully that will be good enough. If it's not then we'll go back to the drawing board."
Parkes (348) and Forbes (284) contain the two best attacking rosters in the Group 11 competition, with a combined tally of 632 points in 14 matches.
If the Spacemen are to beat their southern rivals they will have to stop in-form centre Joel Davie, who has scored 10 tries in just six games for the Magpies, while Moran remains the man to be stopped if Forbes are to claim victory.
Moran has scored nine tries and kicked 45 goals so far this season for a personal tally of 126 points, while he has also played a key role in setting up countless other four-pointers for Parkes.
They also have Sam Dwyer (12) and Kevin Frank (10) figuring prominently in the leading tryscorer battle.
Sunday's match coincides with the official opening of Jock Colley Field within the Pioneer Oval complex and it is sure to be an emotional day for all involved.
