MENDOORAN Gun Club will be able to install two clay target traps and sun protection shelters with a grant of $10,515 from the NSW government's 2014/2015 Safe Shooting Program.

It is one of 11 gun clubs in the Barwon electorate to receive funding from the program.
The grants ranged from $19,117 to $2500.
Gilgandra Amateur Pistol Club will use its $16,800 for works including the installation of a five-bay turning system and a covered observation area.
Lightning Ridge Gun Club has received $12,496 to buy items including an automatic target thrower with voice-activated release.
About $3500 has gone to Quambone Pistol Club for the construction of a shooting bay on a 50-metre range.
Cobar Clay Target Club picked up about $3700 to install a water tank with pressure pump and $3400 to improve the surface of a trap layout.
State Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries said the main objective of the program was to increase safety at shooting facilities in NSW and during club-sponsored activities held elsewhere.
"I congratulate these clubs on their successful application and look forward to seeing the benefits of the upgrades," he said.
