Fifty-three musicians from St John's travelled to Canberra on May 22-24 to perform at the Australian National Eisteddfod.
The students were lead by the amazingly talented musicians and conductors Paul and Maggie Dunn.
The students performed in the 18 and under concert band section, taking out a silver, while the under 18 strings produced an amazing performance to be awarded silver and the 16 and under concert band brought home gold.
This weekend of musical success brings together the dedication, hard work and talent of all of the musicians ranging from years 7 to 12 at school.
The music tour showcases the musician's skill and also brings together the teamwork required of the band and ensembles.
Paul and Maggie Dunn are extremely dedicated to the growth of music at the college and within the local community.
Playing instruments allows these energetic youth an opportunity to express themselves, and develop so many valuable life skills along the way.
The band and string ensembles rehearsals will continue as normal, along with the commitment to personal practice, as the students now get ready for the upcoming Dubbo Eisteddfod in June.
