A spokesperson for Darling River Local Area Command said the incident, which took place about 8pm Wednesday, was one of several police officers responded to where youths had thrown rocks at vehicles and buildings.
The youth was charged then released on conditional bail ahead of an appearance at Bourke Children's Court.
