RAY Brown hopes his positive experiences with using a website that promotes independent artists, will encourage other talented performers in Dubbo and surrounding areas to do the same.

Mr Brown, who used to live in Gilgandra and is back seeing family, recently joined www.reverbnation.com, which is a website that promotes unsigned musicians and helps them further their careers.
It has worked wonders for Mr Brown, who had one of his songs reach number one in the country charts last year, and currently has a song at 43 in the rock charts.
Mr Brown wants to see musicians in and around Dubbo come on board, as he believes there is some fantastic talent in the area.
"We need to get more local artists from Dubbo and Gilgandra onto the site as there are some great artists in these parts," Mr Brown said.
"It would be great to get them some exposure and have their music heard worldwide."
Mr Brown, who is professionally known as speiromusic, wants the local communities to go out and support their local musicians.
"There is some great muso nights now at different pubs and clubs," Mr Brown said.
"It's a great opportunity for local musicians to get that experience and that is the best way to start your career."
