Hill End artist Genevieve Carroll won the Pro Hart prize for Hanging Art in the 2015 Art Unlimited competition held at Dunedoo over the weekend.

Ms Carroll was awarded the $3000 prize for the oil on canvas diptych titled Tugging the World to Fruit, which was described by judge Lisa Loader as a joyous, exuberant and powerful piece of work.
Orange Regional Gallery, director, Ms Loader said Ms Carroll's brushwork was assured and the composition well resolved.
"In a very strong exhibition that presented a difficult exercise to choose a winner, the work stood out," Ms Loader said.
Ms Carroll's work was chosen from 236 entries in the competition's Hanging Art Category.
The $3000 prize is donated each year by Raylee Hart, widow of iconic outback painter Pro Hart, in memory of her husband, who was committed to making art accessible to people in regional Australia.
Ms Carroll's work had been Highly Commended in two previous Art Unlimited competitions.
Her work in textiles, painting, drawing and sculpture has been exhibited widely at galleries in both regional and metropolitan Australia.
Orange's Alf Manciagli won the $3000 Print Storm Photography prize for his portrait The Thespian.
Judge Bob Hughes chose the work from 91 entries and described it as a work with great impact.
The $3000 Art Unlimited Ceramics prize was won by Anne Mossman of Elanora Qld for My Landscapes.
Ceramicist Nerrida Barber who judged this category described the work as "exquisite".
Other winners in Art Unlimited 2015 were:
► Pippa Kensit, Crookwell, won the Fairview Artspace prize for her ceramics work The Land Unpeeled.
► Jordan Shillingsworth, Dubbo, won the Orana Arts Indigenous Artist prize for his photograph My Perspective.
► The ABC Western Plains prize was awarded to Geoff Thomas, Gilgandra, for his ceramics work titled Jar; and;
► Barbara Bidencope, Tamworth, won the Janace Holmes Family memorial Prize, for her Hanging Art work titled Petunia Possum.
