Rotarian Sandy Dunshea said $5000 was donated to the school, raised from the club's Destination Outback fundraiser.
"The Rotary Club of South Dubbo hold a fundraiser called Destination Outback every two years. In 2014 we raised money and we decided we would spend some of that money back in the outback where we raised it," Mr Dunshea said.
"There are about 40 to 50 four-wheeled drives and we travel on different routes in the outback. People pay to be in it and we have an auction. Everything we raise goes back into the community."
Mr Dunshea said during their drive, they asked the principal of the Tibooburra school if there was anything the club could do to help the school or the students.
"They wanted to have an excursion for their students to come down to Dubbo, go to the zoo and see what life is like down here," Mr Dunshea said
"Unfortunately because the outback is very dry there's not a lot of money out there so we gave them $5000 so they could have this excursion.
"The community in the outback aren't as fortunate as people in Dubbo."
Mr Dunshea said some of the children who went on the excursion had never been to Dubbo before so it was a great way of giving back to the community.
