The Dubbo Macquarie Rotary club presented the support group with a $3000 cheque on Tuesday afternoon, proceeds from the 2015 Michael Egan Memorial Book Fair.
Dubbo RFDS Support Group president Terry Clark said the RFDS was thrilled to receive the donation.
"We accumulate donations like this and pool them towards equipment that is needed," Mr Clark said.
"Effectively that money goes towards essential equipment for the state-of-the-art service that we provide at Dubbo."
In the past the group has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars towards stretchers, and blood storage and heating equipment.
The group is one of the nominated beneficiaries of the book fair, and RFDS volunteers helped out on the day. Mr Clark said it was a valuable partnership.
"The Dubbo support group and the RFDS just love groups that come up with these innovative ideas to raise money," he said.
"Knowing this is going to repeat each year [is] really valuable to us."
The book fair raised a total of $6000 with the other half of the proceeds going to the Bill Walsh Transitional Cancer Research Laboratory at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital.
Dubbo Macquarie Rotary president Lorraine Croft said this year's fair was a great success.
"We were really thrilled with the amount of support we received from the community," Mrs Croft said.
"On the day the RFDS helped at the book fair.
"It's good for the two organisations to work together. And it is good to see local organisations supporting local charities."
