DUBBO trainer Denise Sparkes has trained plenty of winners at her home track over the years and she added another one to the tally when Bryden Peaches won on debut at Dawson Park yesterday.

The Vee Man Vane x Spirited Girl bitch started a solid $2.10 favourites for the Red TV Maiden (400m) on the back of a strong performance trial at the end of last month and she didn't let her backers down, recording an impressive all-the-way win in good time.
From box one, Bryden Peaches was able to shoot to the lead and hold out Bundarra Magic ($6.70) in the run to the first turn, and from that point the race was as good as over.
As the field headed up the back straight Diamond Diva ($3.20) ran into second and for a moment looked a fleeting chance of challenging the favourite but by the time they hit the home stretch Bryden Peaches was in top gear and raced away to win by five-and-three-quarter lengths in a time of 22.79 seconds.
That time compared very favourably to the 23.05s she recorded in her trial and suggests she will get better as she continues to race. Diamond Diva recorded her third second-placing from as many starts, finishing two-and-three quarter lengths ahead of Bundarra Magic, which was also on debut.
While punters were on good terms with themselves early, the same couldn't be said at the end of the program when the raging hot favourite Irinka Tyson was beaten into third place in the Betfair Blue Paws Super Series Heat (400m).
The Raymond Smith-trained chaser started a $1.40 favourite on the back of two blistering wins over the Anzac carnival but was able to transfer his 318m form to the longer journey.
After missing the start Irinka Tyson ran into all sorts of trouble through the race, while up ahead of him Uniting Cargo ($7.90) had no such worries.
Ron Steel's bitch settled second early before taking an inside run rounding the home turn and shooting away to beat Benji's Friend ($7.80), which flashed home while Irinka Tyson nailed early leader Magic Utah for third on the line.
The success was Steel's second for the day after Suzi Cargo had earlier won, while the Cowra-based training partnership of Pam and Paul Braddon left with three winners on the day.
