The Dubbo Theatre Company production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Evita will be held from 8pm on Friday and Saturday at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre. Tickets range from $25 to $35 and can be purchased at the box office.
Macquarie Conservatorium presents the Sydney Young Con Artists from 7.30pm. Talented young musicians from Sydney Conservatorium’s postgraduate Masters program perform music for strings, flute and guitar, together with acclaimed pianist and Sydney Conservatorium senior lecturer David Miller. The entertaining program features music from Mozart to Piazzolla and more. Don’t miss this special opportunity to hear the next generation of leading Australian musicians. Adults $15, concessions $10 and school students $5.
The annual Michael Egan Book Fair raises funds for important community projects undertaken by the Rotary Club of Dubbo Macquarie. The event will be held at St Brigid’s Church Hall, Saturday 2 May 2015 from 8am to 4pm and Sunday 3 May 2015 from 9am to 4pm.
The Dubbo Dundullimal Garden Expo will be held from 10am to 4pm. Garden tools, sculptures, plants, home made products. School displays, recycling, composting, sustainability, alternate energy, stone walls, see the new heritage homestead garden... eat and drink in the ‘shed’ cafe or enjoy the BBQ at the shearing stand. Includes a Dubbo gardens tour. Prepurchase tickets for dinner, drinks & garden tour from Dundullimal Homestead, Dubbo Visitors Centre and Milling Real Estate.
Dubbo Farmers Markets will be held at the Macquarie Lions Park from 8am to 12 noon.
Max Walker will be a special guest at the sixth annual Dads For Kids Festival at the Dubbo Showground from 10am-2pm. There will be a variety of entertainment and family activities including a reptile show, automotive display, jumping castle, face painting, sporting activities, story corner and other activities. Entry to the festival is free.
Rockin with the vines #3 Motor Show Spectacular will be held on Sunday from 9am to 3pm. A public gold coin donation, early entrants $15 from 11am till 4.15pm then $20.
