The Dubbo and wider community has responded to calls for books, donating their surplus but much-loved books for a great cause.
Book fair co-ordinator Peter Bartley is ecstatic with the number of books that has been received.
"We are absolutely grateful to the public for their continued support of this worthwhile cause," Mr Bartley said.
"We have received far more books than we thought we would and I'm expecting them to flood in towards the end of the week.
"People who have books they no longer need, but don't want to throw away, can make use of this book fair as it's giving them on to another person to make use of."
Through the amount of books that will be available, Mr Bartley is confident there will be something for everyone.
"There will be 20 different categories so I'm sure everyone will be able to find a book that interests them," Mr Bartley said.
"We are really trying to promote reading in the community and circulation of books and it has been great to have some books we sold last year, donated back to us to sell again this year."
All proceeds from this year's book fair will go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service at Dubbo, and the Bill Walsh Cancer Research Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
The book fair is organised by the Dubbo Macquarie Rotary Club, and is on this Saturday from 8am to 4pm at St Brigid's Church Hall with gold coin donation required for entry.
All books remaining with an hour to go will be heavily discounted.
