Darryl Biles, 22, faced Bourke Local Court on Monday.
He did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
Biles was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance on May 4.
Police were called to a Byron Street home about 5.45pm Saturday following reports a woman had suffered serious injuries.
Additional emergency services were called but the 18-year-old woman died at the scene.
