Everingham took out the junior clubman and junior light national divisions to get the perfect start to the three round championship while a number of other club members scored good results.
It wasn't easy with rain falling during practice on Friday and throughout Saturday's heats. However, the sun was out and the track dried for Sunday's finals.
Everingham qualified fifth for the junior clubman final but made it to the lead on the opening lap and was able to hold off his opposition for the 24 laps to claim victory.
In the junior national light he started from 12th and was bumped back to 17th off the line but began picking his way through the field and took the lead with four laps remaining.
He came under heavy pressure but held on for another win.
Everingham will have the home advantage for round two on June 20 and 21 with the third and final round at Lithgow on August 8 and 9.
Makk O'Neill (cadet 12 category) and Luke Wrigley (clubman heavy) were strong contenders on the first day of racing and both started in fourth position for the final but unfortunate first lap incidents resulted in the boys being pushed right back in the field, Luke managed to drive back to fourth place and Makk ended up finishing 14th which was an unbelievable effort for the youngest member of the team and in his first state championship.
Katie Everingham had a great weekend in the junior national heavy division and excelled in the wet. Katie was consistent all weekend and finished fourth in the final.
Nick Riley and Lucas Walters were strong all weekend in the clubman light and managed to finish second and third respectively in the final on Sunday but the change in wet and dry conditions resulted in the two competitors unable to make weight in the final so were unable to hold onto their placings.
