ORANGE Emus coaches Paul Ringland and Graydon Staniforth don’t know a lot about a new-look Boars line-up ahead of tomorrow’s Anzac Day Blowes Clothing Cup clash in Parkes.

They are sure on one thing though.
“We can’t afford to go up there and take them lightly,” Staniforth said.
“They were obviously in front of Bulldogs (17-10) at half-time last week, which is a good effort.
“After last week we know we have to be better.”
Last week’s 41-5 victorious scoreline over CSU Bathurst put the gloss over what was by and large a fairly scrappy performance from Emus at Endeavour Oval.
Staniforth believes the greens’ ball retention and decision making wasn’t up to scratch against a willing CSU, and says if Emus want to come away from Northparkes Oval - a venue Emus traditionally struggle at - with a victory then both aspects of the greens’ attack must improve.
“Our general play wasn’t the best,” Staniforth said.
“We weren’t physical enough and didn’t fight hard enough in contact. We’ve got to build pressure before we start throwing it around. I think last week the boys went for the big play too often.
“In my experience over (in Parkes), it’s a place we haven’t really played well at. It’s open and windy and they’re a lot tougher at home.”
Emus winger Carter Hirini is out of tomorrow’s clash with Parkes after battling a hamstring strain leading into last week’s win over CSU. He’s expected to miss at least tomorrow’s game.
Similarly, Rob Thorburn’s troublesome knee will result in the damaging No.8 sitting out the Boars clash.
Jake Roberts comes onto the wing for Hirini while Andrew Cosgrove makes his return for Emus in the forwards.
The Anzac Day clash at Northparkes Oval will kick-off at 3.15pm.
